New Matilda subscription giveaway

I have a subscription to New Matilda worth $55 ($33 concession) to give away. In the absence of any brilliant ideas for entertaining competitions, I’ve decided to fall back on the trusty raffle.

Here are the guidelines:

  1. If you want to enter, leave a comment.

  2. Everyone who does so before midnight on Friday (Perth time) will go into the draw.

  3. You need to leave a valid email address, which won’t be displayed on this site or passed on to anyone (except, if you win, New Matilda).

  4. I’ll write all the names on little pieces of paper and pull one out of a hat.

  5. Manners, please. Don’t enter if you’re not going to read New Matilda. Leave it for people who are genuinely interested.

  6. My decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into, etc etc.

Simple as that. Start commenting.

Oh, and feel free to plug the contest on your blogs. The more the merrier, I say.

Update: And the winner is…

I need a free matilda account cos I’m on the DSP and even the concession is too much :-) Also I don’t have a credit card.

Grovelling is welcome, but a raffle is a raffle is a raffle. I’ll reserve you a scrap of paper and a place in the hat.

I have read “Traffic and Parking” when bored. New Matilda would be a blast compared to the that other fine publications.

Wouldn’t it be against my interests to plug it on my blog as I’d dilute my own chances? And yet by doing so, I could prove the existence of altruism as a driver in action. Unless of course I told people to give it to me if they won…what was the raffle for again?

    trackin’ on back.
I am succumbing to Robert’s unscrupulous promotion by including a trackback so that I have a faint hope of attaining this prize. Being new to the blogging game, I am a virgin trackbacker. Or at least I was. This is what I have foregone for the faint …

Thank you, Rob … The entry at 858 pm has it! Please direct the snail mail to the Red Cross Blood donations Clarence Street, Sydney ;-)

In Europe the blood bank reception rooms are peppered with journals of substance. I have no idea why in Australia publishers forget to sent pulping copies to community centers etc …
