Sprinkler
Colin Barnett is “tough on youth“:
REPORTER: Is it a water cannon? As in the water cannons that are sold to paramilitary organisations or is it a water, is it a big hose?
COLIN BARNETT: Well we’re not talking about a paramilitary equipment in Perth. We’re talking about providing the police with the equipment they need to control crowds…
REPORTER: So Giz Watson’s right, it’s a giant sprinkler.
And elsewhere:
Barnett was confident until the questions came, finally cracking when it was pointed out that senior police didn’t want a $300,000 water cannon. “Too bad,” he said through gritted teeth.
It has also been revealed that the only company that can provide the sprinkler is Tenix, which makes the Daily Flute’s take even funnier.

Ahhh, so THAT’S what the canal is for – to fill the canon!
Do you think the police will only be able to use it a couple of times per week due to water restrictions?
Oh and the Liberal Cabndidate for Swan Hills wants the water in Colins Supa Soaker to be filled with Blue Dye so the cops can identify the “yoof”.
Plus, he has had this strange idea of putting juvenile prisoners in Pink Underwear – and he’s a Baptist.

MURRAY: So do you reckon all our prisoners should be in pink underwear?
BLIZARD: Well, I just saw that in a paper from the Eastern States and I thought it was an interesting concept. Obviously it is not Liberal Party policy, so all the Liberals out there can relax a little bit. But realistically I think we should have community debate on some of these issues.
MURRAY: The reason he puts them in pink underwear is to put the macho element out of being in jail, which anyone who has visited jail would realise is pretty strong there, all the sort of tough guys walking around. They don’t feel so tough when they’re in pink underwear?
BLIZARD: That’s right. And also I notice he bans smoking, coffee, TV and others things, which is probably a good idea. I think at a local level, I think the real issue is that, it really concerns me that prisoners seem to be playing video games like Grand Theft Auto and I think we saw the news recently where we had a guy steal a car and then found out during the court proceedings that he had been playing this Grand Theft Auto video game. Now I just think to have these guys playing these games in prison is just beyond belief.
The Man is a nutcase.
So now he isn’t just a lecturer in economics, he is a psych as well!
I think it would be really great for some of these gutless privileged mummy’s boys to go inside for a while, so that a little of that dangerous recidivist machismo that they are so afraid of can rub off on them.
I heard Strongarm was still living with his mother [he's 33 y/o] as at last year, better hope nothing eventuates out of that contempt of parliament business…
Tenix is a US arms manufacturer and defense systems contractor to Australia. Ex-Minister of Defense Peter Reith granted Tenix multi-million dollar contracts for amored (tracked) vehicles and
navy warship support etc. He resigned office and joined Tenix
as a senior exec/consultant. Tenix manufactures and supplies
armored ” internal security ” vehicles for a variety of roles and
fitted with cannon (lethal ballistic), machine guns, as required.
Now the WA liberal leader is promoting their products ! You join the dots.
Tenix is our very own Halliburton, eh?
